This is the first wave of literary event in London inspired by me for those who love and cherish reading books with the intention of holding the same event once a year comparing some other countries have similar event every year.
Bo Bo Lan Sin: Media and its errands in a nation; How can we use media as a powerful weapon to build an independent Nation.—He is a PhD student at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies). Presenter and journalist of the program “examining the history” in Radio Free Asia. He started writing articles since 1998 and he has been working as an editor for some magazines and websites inside Burma and overseas.
Comparison between two student movement under colonial rule and under military rule. How different was the political economic and social situation in the 1920-30 and 1960-80. How important was the leadership role in the movement. How much could civil society be mobilized? What was the response and tolerate level of the regime.
He is a Burmese Critic and Analysis living in USA. He was elected as the first Chairman of All Burma Students' Democratic Front in 1988 November 5th. He resettled in the USA in 1992 and got his Master Degree in Asian Studies at Cornell University in 1997. Htun wrote many articles while living in Thai-Burma border some of his articles were published in The Nation and Bangkok Post newspapers. He started writing short stories in the prison and one of his story was published in 1991 at the law journal in 1991 called "Prison and oppression". He was arrested in 1975 August and sentenced to life for participating in U Thant Uprising in 1974 December. Htun Aung Gyaw was Born in Rangoon, Burma. Graduated from RASU in 1974 Bechalor in Geology (B. Sc).
It is natural that your mind and your thought can be outstretched while you are under detention or in prison cell.
Though it is called Prisoner’s Art, it is based on free circumstance. Then you can create self-governing art.
He is an artist of performance art and working on relevant tasks such as writing articles and poems about art for media. He completed art exhibition about INSIDE OUT BURMA (paintings related to prison) in Asia House Gallery in 2007. He was accused of Section 5(j) of the Emergency Provisions Act and sentenced to 7 years in May 31, 1998.
His first photo exhibition called AN INSECT INSIDE THE EAR was revealed in Lawkanut exhibition centre in Rangoon introducing performance art to Burmese audiences. He graduated in Law in 1994. He escaped to india-Burma border and china-Burma border after involving as student leader for Ingapu, Myan Aung, Kyan Khin townships in 1988 uprising. He was born in December 31, 1966 in Maezaleegone village, Ingapu township, Irrawaddy division.
